A vibrant and brilliant garnet in color, the 2014 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon showcases aromas of beautiful black raspberry, black currant, spring flowers, sweet tobacco and gravel. The nose soars with an abundance of inviting aromas. Full bodied, beautifully rich and layered. The wine possesses an elegant power, highlighted by discreet yet intense flavors. Great balance, purity and presence lead to a savory and intense finish encapsulated by polished and refined tannins.Vineyard Notes
Sourced entirely from the Fleury Estate owned and farmed vineyard located in Rutherford, Napa Valley. This beautifully manicured vineyard sits aside the winery in which the wonderful wine was crafted. The often referenced “Rutherford Dust” tannin structure is one of many reasons Rutherford is known as one of Napa Valley’s most esteemed American Viticultural Areas. There is little dispute that Rutherford’s climate and terrior create characteristics unique to wine from this region. Planted amongst the valley floor, with rows running east and west, the vineyard produces rich and full-flavored wines, with beautiful chocolate notes. The location provides ideal sun exposure during the day which helps to develop the lush, intense fruit one would expect from such a magnificent property. The vineyard itself is harvested as 2 separate blocks; front and back. These are then fermented and aged separately. Blended back together closer to bottling allows for full expression of each individual sub-block; producing a wine of elegance, specificity, grace and power.Production Notes
